J. Michael Justice, Jr.,
President, Chief Executive Officer and Director
J. Michael Justice, Jr. is our President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of the Bank. Mr. Justice has 30 years of banking experience, primarily in Southern Orange County and Northern San Diego County in Southern California. He served most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of San Diego Trust Bank, joining that bank during its formation in 2003, and serving there until April 2004, at which time he took a hiatus from his banking career prior to commencing his organizational activities with respect to the Bank in 2005. Immediately prior to that, from 2002 to 2003, he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of First Community Bancorp, Carlsbad, California, following that bank's acquisition of Capital Bank of North County, Carlsbad, California, at which bank Mr. Justice worked from 1986 to 2002 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial & Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Capital Bank of North County, Mr. Justice was involved with the organization and establishment of Marathon National Bank, Los Angeles, California, in 1983. Mr. Justice attended Pepperdine University-Accounting and Finance and has completed extensive coursework at The American Institute of Banking.
John R. McGill,
Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer
John R. McGill is our Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer. Mr. McGill has over 32 years of banking experience, primarily in Orange County and San Diego County in Southern California. Most recently, prior to joining the Bank in its organizational stage in 2005, Mr. McGill served as the Vice President of Parkway Bank Arizona, Cave Creek, Arizona, until July 2005. From 1997 through 2002 Mr. McGill was a member of the faculty of a private Southern California University where he taught courses in Money and Banking, Economics, Quantitative Analysis and Entrepreneurship. Previously, Mr. McGill worked for a number of community banks in San Diego and Orange Counties, primarily in a business development role. In addition to his banking experience, since 1997 Mr. McGill has been a General Partner of McGill & Associates, an investment company with projects involving real estate, financial services and restaurant franchises in California and Arizona. Mr. McGill has been a Board member of the Saddleback Valley YMCA, AYSO and fund raising events for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He is a past Chairman for the Ronald McDonald House Charity Golf Tournament. Mr. McGill received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Irvine, a Law Degree from the American College of Law and a Teaching Credential from the University of California at Irvine.
Frank J. Ford, Jr.,
Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer
Frank J. Ford, Jr. is our Chief Credit Officer. Mr. Ford served as Chief Credit Officer for Pacific Liberty Bank in Huntington Beach from 1999 until its merger with Pacific Western Bank in 2005, after the merger he continued to serve as a Senior Lender at Pacific Western Bank. He also held Senior Lender positions with Liberty National Bank, Huntington Beach, California, from 1990 to 1999. Mr. Ford began his banking career in 1977 as a management trainee with Manufacturers Bank where he ascended to increasingly more responsible positions. Mr. Ford is a graduate from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.

B. Ted Field, M.D.,
Chairman of the Board
B. Ted Field, M.D. is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult spinal surgery. He has been in private practice in Anaheim, California since 1986. He qualifies and is currently board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Field also currently acts as Spinal Surgery Second Opinion Consultant and Qualified Medical Examiner for the worker’s compensation system in the State of California. He is a member of the Orange County Medical Society, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, California Orthopedic Association, and North American Society of Spinal Surgeons. He recently became the Medical Director for MedReview, a medical utilization review company, specializing in third-party administration of insurance services for many Southern California municipalities. Dr. Field received his Associate of Science degree from Southeastern Illinois College, his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Southern Illinois University, his Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Illinois Medical School and completed his orthopedic residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. Dr. Field is a director of the Bank and Chairman of the Board.
Gilbert G. Aguirre
Gilbert G. Aguirre is Executive Vice President/Ranch Operations for the Rancho Mission Viejo.
Mr. Aguirre is responsible for all cattle, agricultural and lease operations on the Rancho Mission Viejo, Orange County's second largest privately-owned land holding. The Ranch's 25,000 acres is roughly equivalent to the size of the District of Columbia. He joined the Ranch in March, 1967.
A native of Tucson, Arizona, Mr. Aguirre is currently the President of the Donna O'Neill Land Conservancy and is a member of the National Cattlemen's Association, the California Cattlemen's Association and the Nevada Cattlemen's Association. He is a Board member of the J.F. Shea Therapeutic Riding Center. In addition, he is Past Chairman of the Long Range Planning Committee for the California Cattlemen's Association, Past President of the Producers Livestock Marketing Association of Salt Lake City, Past Director of the Board of the Producers Livestock Loan Corporation in Salt Lake City, Past Director of the National Livestock and Meat Board in Chicago, and a former member of the California Beef Council. Mr. Aguirre is a Board member of Rancheros Visitadores and affiliated with Western Heritage Association.
A graduate of the University of Arizona where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science, Mr. Aguirre lives on Rancho Mission Viejo.
J. Richard "Rick" Bosemer,
J. Richard “Rick” Bosemer is the President and owner of two mortgage banking firms based in Laguna Hills, California, Accelerated Funding Government Loans, Inc., and Accelerated Funding, Inc., which firms Mr. Bosemer founded in 1985 and 1997, respectively. The companies specialize in first and second trust deeds and reverse mortgages. Mr. Bosemer is on the Board of Parents for Character, Athletes Mentoring for Character, a mentoring program for high school students. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. Mr. Bosemer is a director of the Bank.
Clare Marie Einsmann, Esq.,
Clare Marie Einsmann, Esq. has served as the Executive Vice President, Corporate Secretary and Legal Counsel to the United Agribusiness League, Irvine, California, an agricultural trade association, since 1985. From 1983 to 1984 Ms. Einsmann served as the Vice President of Employee Benefit Plan Administration at Valencia Bank, Irvine, California. Previously, from 1980 to 1983, Ms. Einsmann served as a Trust Officer and Senior Trust Officer at Security Pacific National Bank, Newport Beach, California and, from 1972 to 1980, Ms. Einsmann held several positions at Bank of America, Los Angeles, California, finally serving as a Trust Assistant at that bank. In addition, Ms. Einsmann served as a director and Corporate Secretary of Pacific Liberty Bank from its organization in 1998 until the sale of that bank in 2005. Ms. Einsmann received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola Marymount University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of La Verne, College of Law. Ms. Einsmann had been an attorney licensed by the State of California Bar Association since 1985. Ms. Einsmann is a past Chairman of the California State Bar Association Business Law Section Agribusiness Law Committee. Ms. Einsmann is a member of the Finance Committee for St. Timothy Parish. Ms. Einsmann is a director of the Bank.
Lawrence E. Green
Lawrence Green has more than 25 years of experience as a lobbyist and a trade association executive in the financial, real estate and insurance industries with responsibility for major legal, legislative and regulatory programs. He currently is a member of BGK Strategies LLC, a research and communications firm.
Mr. Green received both his undergraduate degree (1972) and Juris Doctor degree (1975) from the University of California, Davis. He is an active member of the State Bar of California and an inactive member of the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Green is a member of the Real Property Law Section of the California State Bar and is the author of several articles relating to real property and title insurance.
Representing trade associations, Mr.Green created government relations and communications strategies and served as a spokesman to the media. He has testified before the California State Legislature and commented on proposed regulations to state agencies and the California Office of Administrative Law. Mr. Green has also worked with the Department of Real Estate on subdivision issues; the Senate Local Government Committee on the Subdivision Map Act Task Force; the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency on escrow and housing issues and the Department of Insurance on a variety of title and escrow issues.
From 1988 to 1998, Mr. Green served on the Board of Directors of First Security Thrift in Orange County. In 1998, Mr. Green joined the Board of Orange County Bancorp and its subsidiary Centennial Bank until the companies were acquired in 2003. While on the Board, he was Chairman of the Compensation Committee and served as a member of both the Loan and Audit Committees.
James A. Heinrich, M.D.,
James A. Heinrich, M.D. is a surgeon specializing in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Heinrich has been in private practice in Laguna Niguel, California since 2003. From 1997 to 2002 he was a Partner at Head and Neck Associates of Orange County, Orange, California. In 1999, Dr. Heinrich founded Pacific Coast Cosmetic & Laser Medical Center, Inc., Mission Viejo, California, in order to treat head and neck patients in his practice while, at the same time, offering a complete range of facial procedures. Dr. Heinrich is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is also a member of the Mission Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, Mission Viejo, California. He received both his Bachelor of Science degree and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, California. Dr. Heinrich is a director of the Bank and Chairman of the Bank’s Operations and Technology Committee.
Timothy K. O’Connor, CPA - Inactive
Timothy K. O’Connor has served as the Chief Financial Officer of La Mesa RV Center Inc., headquartered in San Diego, California, since 2004. Previously, he was with Inns of America, a company which owns and operates hotels, based in Carlsbad, California from 1989 to 2004, serving from 1999 to 2004 as its President and from 1989 to 1999 as its Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. From 1985 to 1989 Mr. O’Connor served as an Audit Manager at the accounting firm of Pannell, Kerr, Forster. Mr. O’Connor received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame. Mr. O’Connor is a director of the Bank and Chairman of the Bank’s Audit Committee.
Murray Pasternack is an Attorney, Engineer, Entrepreneur and Investor. His first career was an electronic engineer where he spent ten years working for world class aerospace companies designing complex microwave receiver components. Among his designs were the mono-pulse radar receiver for the Gemini program used to accomplish the very first rendezvous in orbit and a transceiver used by downed US Navy pilots to communicate with rescuers during the Vietnam War. In 1970, he founded Southwest Microwave Company, a microwave components manufacturer and co-founded Environmental Communications, Inc. a company that developed one of the earliest cable television audience response systems. In 1972, after selling his interest in both companies, he founded Pasternack Enterprises. Under his leadership, Pasternack Enterprises became a world class supplier of radio frequency and microwave components. Mr. Pasternack studied law while also running Pasternack Enterprises and in 1976 passed the California Bar Exam. Mr. Pasternack has practiced law continuously since 1976. His practice has been limited to business, communications and real estate law. Mr. Pasternack managed Pasternack Enterprises as President and sole owner for more than twenty years before turning the company over to his son. Since 1993, Mr. Pasternack has in addition to practicing law consulted to and/or invested in dozens of small and medium size businesses. Mr. Pasternack has studied electronics, physics, economics and law and has earned AAS, BS and JD Degrees.
Jack E. Zigler, M.D.,
Jack E. Zigler, M.D. is an orthopedic surgeon. Since 1996 Dr. Zigler has been a spinal surgeon with administrative, clinical, operative and research and training responsibilities with the Texas Back Institute in Plano, Texas. Dr. Zigler started his private practice in Anaheim, California in 1982 and was also the Chief of the Spinal Injury Service at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center. He was a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Southern California. Dr. Zigler is on the Board of Directors (and immediate Past President) of the American Spinal Injury Association. He is also on the Board of the Cervical Spine Research Society. Dr. Zigler received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and his Medical Degree from SUNY Upstate Medical Center School. Dr. Zigler is a director of the Bank and Chairman of the Bank’s Compensation Committee.
